Governance and Board Support Specialist
Waterloo Regional Children's Museum
Contribute to THEMUSEUM as a Governance and Board Support Specialist. This role focuses on Board meeting management, documentation accuracy, and governance compliance. As a vital part of the leadership team, you will coordinate and manage Board meeting schedules, ensuring thorough preparation and knowledge of governance requirements. You will draft and finalize minutes while maintaining essential records. Your proactive approach will help keep the CEO informed on outstanding action items and deliverables. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage Board and Committee meeting logistics
- Draft and finalize meeting minutes accurately
- Maintain governance documents and ensure compliance
- Support the CEO with status updates
- Organize and track action items effectively
- Experience with Board support or senior leadership
- Strong coordination and writing skills
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Familiarity with governance practices and compliance
- Skilled in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Excel
