About the Role

simplehuman is seeking a full-time E-Commerce and Marketing Manager based in Vancouver to join the expanding business in Canada. The E-Commerce and Marketing Manager will take the lead in building and executing the Canadian marketing strategy from awareness to conversion. To be successful in this role, you must not only understand the brand and product, but to convey the right message to our customers to create demand for the brand and product.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• E-Commerce and Marketplace ownership: you live by results, and our website is one of the first key touchpoints for customers. You own the e-commerce space (both .ca and store digital marketplaces) and want it to look and feel as good as our products do.


• Demand Generation: it’s one thing to search for simplehuman and to be able to find us, but it’s another to kickstart the discovery of the brand. We are looking for someone who can do both confidently and consistently.


• Digital and Physical Focus: your scope is not just limited to digital growth, but physically getting products into customer’s hands. Be where the consumers are, be present, and be top of mind.


• Strategic Mindset: create the national marketing strategy and build towards the future, continuously improve upon your learnings and build upon them.


• Content Management: understanding the importance of the brand and product and how to convey the right message at the right time to our customers.


• Budget Ownership: you’re strategic in your spend and you own your results.


• Outside the Box: creativity stimulates growth, you love the challenge of change in a traditional space.


• Execute, Execute, Execute: building the plan is only part of the equation, the most important part is to implementation. You’re rolling up the sleeves to make sure things get done in a precise and timely manner.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. A combination of experience and education will be considered.


• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce and/or marketing management, preferably in consumer goods.


• Strong attention to detail – good enough isn’t good enough, you want to make sure you’re doing your best work everyday.


• Self-starter – ambiguity doesn’t scare you, you thrive without clear direction, because you create your own goals and achieve them.


• Competitive – you want to be the best and you want to prove that you can do it.


• Gets things done – the status quo isn’t good enough, and you want to make sure you’re making progress everyday.


• Make things better – the way things are done today doesn’t have to be the vision for tomorrow, you want to be part of driving the vision tomorrow. Always improving and learning is part of what drives you.


• Good with numbers – numbers don’t scare you, in fact, you like finding stories within the numbers and building a narrative from them.
