Massilly has been manufacturing metal packaging (lids) for the food industry for over 25 years. Our Production team is looking for an Entry Level Machine Operator to work in our Lithography department (Printing and Coating).
You will be responsible for supporting continuous operation of the production line and checking the quality of the product produced.

Massilly has been manufacturing metal packaging (lids) for the food industry for over 25 years. We are in need of a General Machinist to join our Maintenance department. The General Machinist will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Profile
Training Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm for the first 3 months.
Permanent Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm
As a General Machinist, you will:
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to perform machining operations according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
- Inspect machined parts using measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic machining issues to maintain efficient production.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery as required.
- Develop an understanding of different metals and materials and their machining properties.
- Select and apply appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters for assigned tasks, with guidance as needed.
- Assist in basic machine rebuilds and contribute to the setup of machinery.
- Ability to do machine rebuilds, setup requirements, and assemble machines.
What we look for:
- Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in a machining environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with using various precision measuring tools.
- Basic understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Prior experience rebuilding a Press is considered an asset.
