Position summary:

The scope of the Café Server role is to provide professional, timely and memorable experiences for guests. They make sure that their guests feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. They create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons from the moment they enter the establishment until they leave.

We have full- and part-time roles available.

- Open: 4:30am - 12pm

- Mid: 9am - 3:30pm

- Close: 3pm - 8pm

Please note this job is located behind security at the YXS airport. All employees must have (or be willing to attain) their RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) clearance. Preference will be given to those who have held this clearance in the past.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Café Server role include:

· Provides excellent customer service to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience.

· Greets guests, enthusiastically representing Noir Food Service Ltd.'s brand, to provide service and information that helps to enhance the guest experience.

· Provides organized and proactive food and beverage service to our guests, according to event details, or menu and daily features.

· Encourages upselling of items, and processes discounts according to organizational policies.

· Processes the sale of food and beverages via the Point-of-Sale system.

· Accepts payments and reconciles daily cash outs and floats.

· Stocks service supplies, including to-go boxes, cups, paperwork, etc.

· Assists in weekly inventory reviews for operational needs (coffee, to-go boxes, etc.)

· Report any unsatisfied guest to a manager.

· Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Program.

The ideal candidate for the Café Server role is:

· Experienced in providing excellent customer service, ideally in a restaurant, winery, or retail environment.

· Experienced in cash handling and reconciling daily cash reports.

· Able to withstand extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions.

· Able to operate in high pressure environment and remain calm and focused in urgent situations.

· Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as overtime from time to time.

· Able to manage time efficiently.

· Able to pay strong attention to detail.

· Able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, aligning with dress code guidelines.

· Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

· Holds or is willing to work towards a Serving it Right certification.

· Holds or is willing to attain their RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card). Preference will be given to those who have a valid card, or who have held one in the past.
