• Support all financial aspects of the organizational wind‑down, including CRA filings, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting; <\/span>

• Ensure compliance with requirements related to the distribution of assets, grant close‑outs, and final financial submissions; <\/span>

  Core Bookkeeping Functions <\/span><\/span><\/u>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p>
  
  

  
  
  • Maintain a full set of books, including bank reconciliations and general ledger accuracy; <\/span>

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing; <\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • Oversee payroll processing through the organization’s payroll provider, including: <\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    
    
    
    
    • Reviewing and approving employee expenses; <\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      
      
    • Reconciling timesheets; <\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      
      
    • Managing attendance records (vacation, sick days, overtime). <\/span>

      Financial Reporting & Period\-End Duties <\/span><\/span><\/u>

      • Conduct month‑end and year‑end adjustments and reconciliations; <\/span>

      • Prepare and finalize working papers for audit, review, or CRA requirements; <\/span>

      • Prepare monthly management reports and support financial analysis as needed. <\/span>

        Grant, Donation & Fund Management <\/span><\/span><\/u>

        • Assist with grant reporting, fund usage tracking, and compliance with funding restrictions; <\/span>

        • Support the issuance of charitable donation receipts and maintain accurate donation records; <\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
          
          
        • Manage the flow of all finances, including donations and any remaining fundraising activities; <\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
          
          
        • Communicate with funding agencies to manage reporting requirements and close‑outs. <\/span>

          • Communicate professionally with staff, auditors, funders, and service providers; <\/span>

              Requirements <\/h3>

              Education & Credentials <\/span><\/span><\/u>
              <\/span><\/span><\/p>
              
              

              
              
              • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field <\/span>
                <\/span><\/span><\/li>
                
                
              • Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a non‑profit environment; <\/span>
                <\/span><\/span><\/li>
                
                
              • Experience supporting audits, CRA filings, or regulatory reporting; <\/span>
                <\/span><\/span><\/li>
                
                
              • Prior involvement in organizational wind‑downs, transitions, or project‑based closures is an asset; <\/span>
                <\/span><\/span><\/li>
                
                
              • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel; <\/span>
                <\/span><\/span><\/li>
                
                
              • Strong understanding of payroll processes; <\/span>
                <\/span><\/span><\/li>
                
                
              • Familiarity with charitable receipting, grant reporting, and fund accounting principles; <\/span>

              • High attention to detail and accuracy; <\/span>

              • Strong organizational and time‑management skills; <\/span>
