About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Geologist Supervisor, the Geologist or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) is responsible for collaborating with a group of professionals to support mining operations at Fording River. The successful candidate will learn geology practices under the guidance and mentorship of a team committed to achieving safe production and sustainability. At EVR, a GIT will develop over a 4-year program with rotations approximately every 18 to 24 months, giving you the experience and exposure to build well-rounded skills to become a highly successful professional geologist.
To be successful, we are looking for an analytical and detail-orientated person with strong interpersonal skills, who can build and maintain positive relationships in a team setting. This individual is able to collaborate with various personnel within all aspects of the operation, and ensure accurate information is available to all departments and stakeholders. Lastly, this person is organized and can prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
