Senior Privacy Counsel Remote Canada

Join Prospeo as a Senior Privacy Counsel and lead the company’s privacy operations from a remote location in Canada. This hands-on role emphasizes managing privacy compliance and commercial contracts. As the first dedicated legal hire at Prospeo, you will directly impact data-driven operations by ensuring compliance across GDPR, CCPA, and related regulations. Your expertise in commercial contracts and strong commercial judgment will guide the company as it scales. You will manage data requests, regulatory filings, and serve as the go-to resource for all legal matters. Key Responsibilities:

• Run day-to-day privacy program across multiple jurisdictions
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts including DPAs and NDAs
• Manage data subject access and deletion requests
• Coordinate litigation and regulatory inquiries with external counsel
• Advise founders on legal risks in strategy decisions

Requirements:

• JD degree and bar admission in Canada
• CIPP/E certification required
• 4+ years of experience in commercial and privacy law
• Proficient in GDPR and CCPA principles
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
