Associate Portfolio Manager – Global Credit

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Portfolio Manager to join our Global Credit investment team, focusing on direct private debt/credit investments.

Responsibilities

• Engage as a member of the Deal Team to oversee and participate in due diligence, prepare investment reports, memos, and presentation materials.
• Apply investment and credit knowledge to build and analyze complex financial models.
• Conduct research and analysis on a broad range of topics to support investment decision‑making across various credit asset classes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (risk, tax, legal, finance) to support deals and ongoing portfolio management.
• Develop and generate periodic and ad‑hoc analyses using Capital IQ, Bloomberg, rating agency reports, and other sources to satisfy C‑suite, board, and client reporting requirements.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects that support the Global Credit strategy and platform.
• Support asset monitoring throughout the investment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business or a related discipline; CFA or MBA is an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in private debt/credit, leverage loans, infrastructure debt, high‑yield debt, transaction advisory, and/or investment or corporate banking.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modelling, problem‑solving, and research skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality outputs in a fast‑paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and build key partnerships.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and present information to internal stakeholders.
• Proactive and initiative‑driven to understand, support, and implement goals and objectives.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: CAD 135,000 – 176,000.
• Eligible for IMCO’s annual incentive plan.
• Comprehensive benefits package and defined benefit pension plan.
