The Ministry of Environment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Administrative Assistant to provide senior-level administrative and office management support within the Deputy Ministers Office. This role offers the opportunity to support executive decision-making, enhance administrative processes and contribute to the efficient operation of the Corporate Services and Policy Division.
The ideal candidate is an experienced administrative professional who can manage competing priorities, work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong organizational, communication and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively, adapt to changing priorities and identify process improvements. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, innovation, inclusiveness, adaptability and a commitment to public service excellence. Typically, the required knowledge and experience are obtained through a combination of formal education in business or office administration and senior-level administrative experience. Candidates should have experience supporting executives, coordinating meetings and travel, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining records systems and monitoring budgets and expenditures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint, is required. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, organizational awareness and resource management skills are essential.
