About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Planner (35 hrs per week) on a five (5) month term, based in Lake Country, BC.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Processing land use applications
- Preparing correspondence in relation to public enquiries, development applications
- Preparing land use planning studies utilizing a variety of formats
- Working collaboratively with District staff to make submissions to Council and other affected public and private agencies, and with committees and above named groups respecting land use in the community
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of a diploma in Planning (or equivalent) and a minimum of three years’ work experience in Planning. Additionally, you will be a member or be eligible for membership in the Planning Institute of BC. A valid British Columbia Driver’s License, Class 5 is required.
