Saturdays and weekdays. The position offers a minimum of 32 hours of work per month. Once trained, the part-time scale attendant will be expected to provide coverage for the full-time scale operator during holidays or sick days. Duties will include screening waste loads, weighing vehicles in and out of the landfill, billing of account customers, working with a computer, cash register and debit machine, inputting data into the Wesdis scale system and answering phone inquiries. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Prior experience with cash registers, debit machines and dealing with the public are also an asset. The position requires the attendant to occasionally go outside to screen the waste loads and obtain customer information. Training will be provided. Starting wage is $22.00 per hour.
