Cybersecurity Operator for DND
Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes
Serve as a Cybersecurity Operator with the Department of National Defence to safeguard military communications. Engage in both active and defensive cyber operations in a high-security setting. This Cyber Operator role requires a secondary high school diploma and related computer studies or math courses. You will undergo military training and specialized cyber security education at a designated college, which include instruction on data security and network awareness. In this role, you'll work alongside allies and various government agencies. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cyber defense measures for CAF networks
- Collaborate on joint missions with international partners
- Monitor network integrity and respond to breaches
- Offer cyber support across military operations
- Engage in advanced training in cybersecurity specializations
- Secondary high school diploma required
- Skills in math and computer studies preferred
- Flexibility for shift and part-time work
- Willingness to pursue further specialized training
- Capability to manage confidential information
