Lead sports activities as a Summer Camp Coach at True North Sports Camps in Toronto, available at multiple locations. You'll foster a fun, safe environment while teaching valuable athletic skills. This camp counsellor role at True North Sports Camps spans July and August, providing children aged 2 to 14 unforgettable experiences in various sports including baseball, basketball, and soccer. Your responsibility will be to guide skill groups, ensuring each camper feels welcome, safe, and engaged. Emphasis is placed on preparation of lessons and fostering lasting friendships through team-based activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a designated skill group effectively
- Ensure campers' safety and well-being daily
- Prepare engaging lessons and drills for participants
- Complete weekly scouting reports on camper progress
- Lead larger group games and team-building activities
- Must be 16 years old by December 31, 2026
- Attend mandatory staff training in June
- Experience in sports coaching or youth education
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Capability to manage diverse skill levels
