Electrical Substation Technologist at CIMA+

Elevate your career with CIMA+ as an Electrical Substation Technologist in Ottawa or Mississauga. Harness your expertise in substation design in a flexible and innovative workplace. CIMA+ is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Substation Technologist to support LDC and generation projects. The role requires extensive experience in electrical layouts and familiarity with industry standards. You will perform design work primarily from home, interfacing with project teams and clients to bring designs to fruition. Key Responsibilities:

Produce preliminary and detailed drawings for substations
Validate scope requirements through site visits
Prepare technical input for project proposals
Conduct voltage drop calculations and cost estimates
Update and maintain quality standards according to ISO 9001

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in electrical technology preferred
Over 7 years of relevant experience in the energy sector
Proficient in CAD and design programs like MicroStation
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in collaborative teams
