Remote NSBE Marketing Lead 2025/2026

Introduction:

NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) is a non-profit organization with over 16,000 members in 500 active chapters all over the world. NSBE's mission is to 'increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.' Within the Queen's University NSBE Chapter, we plan on achieving this goal by offering opportunities for mentorship, academic support, and professional development. We're looking to hire a team of motivated and passionate students for our exec team to help us accomplish this goal.

Role Description:

As the Marketing Lead, you’ll take charge of NSBE Queen’s digital presence—crafting and executing marketing strategies that amplify our voice across campus and beyond. You’ll manage our social media platforms, design visually engaging campaigns, and ensure consistent, professional branding for all events and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement marketing strategies for events, initiatives, and overall brand awareness

- Manage content creation and scheduling across all social media platforms

- Design cohesive, visually appealing graphics and promotional materials

- Maintain a consistent and professional voice for the NSBE Queen’s brand

- Collaborate with other leads to support cross-functional marketing needs

Must Have Qualities:

- Strong Teamwork and collaboration skills

- Effective written, and oral communication skills

- Effective time-management skills

Nice To Have Qualities:

- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite)

- Creative mindset with a strong eye of visual branding

- A camera

Additional Information:

The expected time commitment of the NSBE exec team varies by role, but is expected to be 1-3 hours a week. This includes meetings, events, and club communications.
