Associate Software Engineer

As part of the conversion team, the software engineer will support our data conversion projects, helping onboard new clients in the Canadian financial and wealth management industry. The developer will collaborate directly with conversion leads and stakeholders to develop and implement robust data conversion programs and support execution of conversion activities during test and production cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the conversion lead and client stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements for onboarding and data migration.
- Design creative, scalable, and maintainable solutions that fit our clients’ unique data needs, leveraging industry best practices.
- Implement and optimize complex data conversion logic, primarily using Oracle database and advanced PL/SQL techniques.
- Identify opportunities for performance tuning and optimization to enhance conversion performance.
- Document solutions and processes to promote reusable patterns and internal knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of developments and regulations in the Canadian financial and wealth industry, ensuring solutions meet industry standards and compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a software development role, with a strong emphasis on database‑driven solutions.
- Experience working on data conversion or migration, preferably within financial or wealth management sectors in Canada, would be an asset.
- General understanding of Canadian financial and wealth management industry practices and regulations would be an asset.
- Expertise in Oracle relational databases and complex PL/SQL development.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization is a significant asset.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to both quality and continuous improvement.

Salary
CAD $60,000 – $80,000. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
