Lead construction safety strategy and field performance at Carmacks Enterprises across Western Canada. Apply regulatory expertise and practical operational leadership daily.Reporting to the CEO, this autonomous manager oversees the Corporate Safety Program and departmental execution. The position leads the Health & Safety team, partners with Operations and business leaders, and drives improvement beyond compliance. Responsibilities span planning, resources, performance, and field support.Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop the Health & Safety teamDevelop annual safety strategies and departmental plansMonitor trends, risks, and safety performanceOversee audits, inspections, investigations, and regulatory complianceMaintain field presence and support corrective actionsRequirements:
10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience5+ years in construction or heavy civil environmentsLeadership experience developing teams and managing performanceKnowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and WCBCRSP and/or NCSO designation preferredBring field-based safety leadership, regulatory knowledge, and construction experience to Carmacks Enterprises’ Western Canada operations.
