Director for African Nova Scotian Strategy

Join Dalhousie University as the Director of African Nova Scotian Community Engagement, focusing on student success and community outreach. Take a leadership role in building impactful relationships. This full-time position, based in Halifax or Truro, will advance the African Nova Scotian strategy at Dalhousie. You will work closely with the African Nova Scotian Advisory Council and various community partners to ensure effective outreach and support. Your role will drive initiatives that prioritize equity and engagement in all services. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the African Nova Scotian strategy
• Collaborate with the African Nova Scotian Advisory Council
• Engage with community members for effective outreach
• Execute relationship-building activities on campus
• Support equity-focused community services

Requirements:

• Master’s degree with significant relevant experience
• Established partnerships within African Nova Scotian communities
• Ability to strategically engage diverse stakeholders
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant social issues
• Strong adaptability and communication skills
