Job Role Description

The Pricing Tactics Advisoris responsible for providing analytical support to the Revenue Management Team. This role involves applying analytical skills to understand challenges and opportunities within the market. Key activities include data gathering, synthesis, analysis, reporting, and comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions

Job Role Responsibilities

Key Deliverables

• Develops deep pricing expertise for select markets and provides advisory support to recommend optimal pricing tactics for deals across all relevant sales channels
• Responsible for managing and executing core pricing processes: Pricing outlier management, Competitive intelligence (collect, analyze and share pricing insights) and deal specific pricing recommendations
• Updates pricing tactics in response to market developments (e.g. changes in legislation, competitive actions, supply disruptions, State Of Emergency)
• Translates Pricing tactics into transaction level (target / floor) prices accounting for customer’s needs and current market conditions
• Ensures legal and controls compliance and executes safety programs
• Contributes pricing expertise to strategy studies, reviews and architecture development
• Participates in Trib and operational meetings; provides pricing expertise to evaluate (GI) alternatives and applies information into pricing tactics
• Provides ongoing advice to Sales reflecting importance / complexity of the business
• Manages structured Sales interface to review segment / customer pocket margin performance to identify opportunities vs. expectations and proposes corrective action when needed
• Identifies channel conflicts and co-ordinates reviews as appropriate for resolution
• Reviews / endorses / approves prices within specified authorities and obtains higher endorsement / approval when applicable 

Skills and Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3-10+ years of experience in fuels, product management, commercial strategy, marketing, pricing, or a related industry
• Strategic Thinking
