Storage Capacity Analyst for Mainframe

Drive improvements in mainframe storage infrastructure as a Storage Capacity Analyst. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring optimal utilization of DASD and tape systems through effective monitoring and management practices. You will evaluate storage solutions, analyze capacity needs, and support backup operations for a complex environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of Hierarchical Storage Management and related technologies. Your analytical skills will be essential to resolving performance issues and enhancing infrastructure efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on DASD and tape storage usage
• Maintain systems for disaster recovery and backup solutions
• Communicate system issues and resolutions to stakeholders
• Modify storage solutions based on analytical findings
• Document activities related to storage management

Requirements:

• 3-4 years experience with storage solutions management
• Familiarity with technology such as TSO, CA, and IBM systems
• Degree in IT or Computer Science strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
