Responsibilities for Airport Security Supervisor
- Provide professional, uniformed security supervision to ensure the safety of airport facilities, passengers, staff, and visitors.
- Oversee and conduct passenger and baggage screening procedures in accordance with airport security regulations and established protocols.
- Act as the primary liaison between airport authorities, airline representatives, and the security team to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Lead and coordinate emergency responses, including fire alarms, evacuations, medical incidents, and other critical situations.
- Review, approve, and ensure accuracy of daily activity logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Supervise and manage the daily security officer schedule, ensuring adequate staffing levels and operational coverage.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and performance oversight to security personnel to maintain high service and compliance standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting passengers and assisting with inquiries while maintaining strict security awareness.
- Enforce airport security policies, procedures, and safety regulations while educating passengers on compliance requirements.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment that promotes accountability, vigilance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications for Airport Security Supervisor
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience similar setting will be an Asset
- Valid Manitoba Security License
- RAIC would be an Asset but not Mandatory
- Have been in Canada for 5 years legally
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful and fast -paced environment
