Electronics Engineer: PCB & Firmware Development

Take on a pivotal role at Sciemetric Instruments as an Electronics Engineer focusing on PCB and firmware development. Based in the Ottawa region, you'll work on products designed for longevity and quality assurance. This full-time position requires a proactive engineer to contribute to the entire product life cycle. You will be engaged in designing, debugging, and improving electronic systems while collaborating with a team of engineers. Your hands-on skills in prototyping, circuit design, and firmware integration will be essential to successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Convert specifications into practical electronic designs
- Develop and test prototypes with rigorous debugging
- Implement firmware for system controls and communications
- Work collaboratively across engineering disciplines
- Provide manufacturing support by resolving production challenges
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 1-7 years of experience in product design
- Strong skills in PCB design tools like Altium Designer
- Familiarity with hardware fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Willingness to commute to Ottawa for work
