Spanish Speaking Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Why this role matters
You’ll lead financial operations for our Mexican subsidiary, ensuring SAT compliance, strong internal controls, accurate cross-country reporting, and fraud prevention. You’ll be the bridge between Mexico and Canadian HQ, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Product to ensure efficiency, revenue accuracy, and strategic impact.

Who you are

• Experienced in Mexican accounting, audits, taxes, payroll, and compliance.


• Fluent in Spanish and strong in English for cross-border collaboration.


• Experienced working with ContpaQi


• Proven ability to implement internal controls, reduce costs, and improve processes.


• Experience with multi-country operations and SaaS/tech companies is a plus.


• Hands-on, analytical, and collaborative — a   culture champion   who inspires others.

What you’ll do

• Financial Reporting:   Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy for the Mexican market and alignment with Canadian HQ reporting requirements. SaaS industry experience is a plus.


• Month-End & Year-End Closings:   Oversee closing processes, ensuring compliance with Mexican accounting standards, US GAAP (nice to have), and internal policies.


• General Ledger & Transaction Oversight:   Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed ledger analysis, ensuring transparency and integrity of financial data.


• Tax Compliance & Audits:   Ensure full compliance with VAT, payroll taxes, corporate taxes, and local Mexican regulations. Prepare filings and coordinate internal and external audits.


• Internal Controls & Fraud Reduction:   Implement processes and controls to minimize financial risk, prevent fraud, and optimize cost efficiency.


• Budgeting & Forecasting:   Contribute to annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring data accuracy and insights to guide leadership decisions.


• Cross-Department Collaboration:   Partner with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to ensure financial alignment, validate pricing per location, and support revenue strategies.


• Team Leadership & Development:   Lead by example; mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and collaboration.


• Process Improvement:   Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.


• Cultural Bridge:   Serve as a key liaison between the Mexican subsidiary and Canadian HQ, navigating cultural and regulatory nuances to ensure smooth operations.
