Special Events Planner Galiano Inn Location Galiano, BC Salary 40.00 hourly / 30 hours per week Full time Evening, Night, Weekend, On call Start date: 2026-03-31 Languages English Education College/CEGEP or equivalent experience Experience 2 years to less than 3 years Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Number of participants 10-49 participants Responsibilities: Develop risk management plans Develop and monitor emergency security plans Develop marketing and communication plans Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services Assist in budget preparation Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events Plan schedules, goals and objectives Develop registration systems and information materials Research and design special events programs Plan for VIP arrangements Manage Event Logistics Supervise office and volunteer staff Supervision 3-4 people Experience and specialization Area of work experience Conference and meeting planning companies Hotel, motel, resort Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Work under pressure Personal suitability Client focus Flexibility Organized Team player Until: 2026-02-21
