Salary range: $71,846 to $115,129 with normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.

Schedule:
Typical instructional day is 7.5 hours long. Typical instructional week is four days and would not exceed 30 hours. As a continuing, full-time instructor, take full advantage of your 21 days of Curriculum and Professional Development time to pursue the enhancement of course materials as well as the enhancement of your current skills and knowledge. Also take advantage of available Professional Development funding allotted to employees every fiscal year to broaden your horizons beyond the scope of your current subject area. The scheduling of the program naturally allows you to typically take your 43 days of vacation during the summer months when you can take full advantage of the warm temperatures and gorgeous lakes the Okanagan has to offer. With stat holidays off and the holiday closure around Christmas, you will have time to spend the holidays at home with family and friends.
Special Instructions to Applicants:Please note that, as per Article 36 of the BCGEU Vocational Instructors Collective Agreement, all employees on regular appointment, except those employees exempted from this provision by OC, will be required to obtain the BC Provincial Instructor’s Diploma, valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment, or equivalent qualification as determined by OC within a maximum of two years from date of appointment in the regular appointment category. This period may be extended by OC because of extenuating circumstances.
