Product Designer
CLR3
Design developer-facing products where clarity is the brand: consoles, checkouts, docs and dashboards across seven live products.Our customers are engineers, traders and founders. They do not want delight, they want to find the number, trust it and get back to work. Designing for that audience is a discipline of its own, and right now it is spread across seven products that each deserve better than developer-drawn interfaces.You will be our first dedicated designer, working across all seven CLR3 products, plus the CLR3 site itself. You will set the design system and the standard.What you will do
Own end-to-end design for product surfaces: flows, wireframes, final UIBuild and maintain a design system that seven products can shareWork directly with engineers and ship alongside them, not ahead of themTalk to customers and turn what you hear into concrete design changesRaise the bar on docs, onboarding and empty states, where developer products are wonKeep marketing surfaces honest and consistent with the productsWhat we are looking for
A portfolio of shipped product design work, ideally developer tools, fintech or data productsFluency in modern design tooling and enough HTML and CSS literacy to design what can be builtStrong typography and information-hierarchy fundamentalsComfort designing from real data and edge cases, not lorem ipsumClear reasoning: you can explain why a design is right without pointing at a trendAble to work from our Toronto office part of the weekNice to have
Experience designing for technical audiences: consoles, CLIs, docs, APIsExperience with design systems used by more than one teamBasic familiarity with React, enough to prototype or pair with engineersWriting skill;
UX copy in our productsis design workWho you are
