Project Manager / Implementation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager / Implementation Specialist based in Canada. This role leads the successful deployment of GPS and telematics solutions for fleet customers across North America. You will manage implementation projects end to end, from initial kickoff and requirements gathering through configuration, deployment, training, and go-live. As the primary customer contact, you will build trusted relationships while coordinating technical teams, installation partners, and internal stakeholders. The position combines project management, customer engagement, technical troubleshooting, and solution enablement. You will help customers translate operational needs into effective technology solutions while identifying opportunities to improve products and processes. The role offers exposure to pilots, large-scale deployments, and post-implementation optimization in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. Success means delivering projects on time and within scope while achieving strong adoption and customer satisfaction. Accountabilities - Lead multiple GPS and telematics implementation projects from initiation through successful go-live, coordinating activities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. - Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, action items, change requests, and status reports. - Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the implementation lifecycle, providing clear communication and proactive issue management. - Gather, document, and translate customer business requirements into appropriate software configurations and implementation plans. - Coordinate GPS hardware installation, device activation, deployment logistics, and activities involving technicians, dealers, and installation partners. - Deliver hardware installation training covering wiring standards, troubleshooting procedures, deployment practices, and related technical requirements.

- Conduct administrator and end-user training sessions to support adoption and effective use of the implemented solution. - Troubleshoot GPS and telematics hardware, connectivity issues, sensor integrations, and other deployment-related challenges. - Analyze customer workflows and operational challenges to identify opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements. - Develop detailed feature requests, business requirements, and use cases for Product Management and Engineering teams based on customer needs. - Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder reviews, executive updates, and implementation checkpoints. - Manage project risks, escalations, issues, and scope changes while maintaining alignment with customer expectations. - Support pilot deployments, large-scale rollouts, and post-implementation optimization initiatives. - Maintain accurate project documentation, installation standards, training resources, and implementation best practices. - Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within agreed scope, and against defined customer satisfaction objectives. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in project management, software implementation, customer success, technical deployment, or a related field. - Experience managing projects through multiple phases, ideally from requirements gathering and planning through deployment and go-live. - Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience gathering business requirements and translating operational needs into practical technology configurations or solutions. - Familiarity with GPS, telematics, fleet technology, connected devices, hardware deployment, or software implementation is an asset.
