Senior Android Developer at MapsPeople

Shape the future of indoor navigation as a Senior Android Developer with MapsPeople. In this role, your expertise in Android SDKs, Kotlin, and Java will enable you to build high-quality, scalable SDKs. You will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence the engineering direction while supporting architectural cohesion and team success. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement new features in existing Android SDK using Java and Kotlin
• Migrate legacy code from Java to Kotlin for improved performance
• Contribute to new SDK versions primarily in Kotlin Multiplatform
• Build binding layers to integrate the SDK with Flutter and React Native
• Optimize map rendering performance with Mapbox or Google Maps

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of Android development experience in Kotlin and Java
• Strong understanding of interoperability between Kotlin and Java
• Experience in SDK development instead of app-only development
• Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines and structured concurrency
• Hands-on experience in migrating codebases from Java to Kotlin
