Join a company with more than 300 employees in the cosmetics field and play a key role in the organization. Groupe Marcelle is currently looking for a Buyer, Chemicals for a permanent position. The Buyer is responsible for purchasing all chemicals and shipping supplies. They will review system messages to validate requirements and prepare purchase orders accordingly. Positioned strategically within a Quebec-based company, the Buyer will contribute to the development and growth of our cosmetics and beauty care product lines. WORK ENVIRONMENT

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support new product launches and ensure timely replenishment of existing inventory.
• Perform analysis and follow up on orders (review order confirmations, on-time delivery, contracts).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities to improve profit margins on existing products.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues.
• Respond to requests from various departments related to purchasing.
• Initiate and implement purchasing strategies to achieve the department's objectives in terms of cost reduction, supplier consolidation, MOQ reduction, risk management, and supply consistency.
• Manage supplier performance by ensuring compliance with qualification criteria and required KPIs.
• Perform all other clerical tasks required to update and close files.

WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• Bilingual in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of an ERP system (JD Edwards is an asset).
