Remote Commercial Legal Counsel at Tailscale

Tailscale is seeking a Remote Commercial Legal Counsel to oversee commercial agreements and support a scalable contracting process. Collaborate with teams across Sales, Finance, and Security to drive business success. This full-time position focuses on providing comprehensive legal support as Tailscale expands. The ideal candidate has a law degree and extensive experience in commercial transactions, particularly within the tech sector. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential for success. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate various commercial agreements, including vendor and partnership contracts
- Advise teams on deal structure and risk management strategies
- Develop templates and approval processes for efficient contract handling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology and data commitments
- Support international transactions, coordinating with external counsel
- Active law degree and bar membership
- Proven experience with tech companies on commercial transactions
- Previous roles in high-growth environments
- Excellent communication and judgment skills
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
