Food Manager (Rivers)

Key Job Responsibilities Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant processes.
Manage inventory control, product purchasing, merchandising, pricing, and store presentation.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to all employees in the location.
Determine staffing levels, participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
Promote a positive, engaging, team‑centered work environment.
Lead budgeting, financial reporting, expense management, and sales targets.
Support execution of marketing strategies, loyalty programs, promotions, and competitive pricing.
Identify consumer trends and recommend product selection or merchandising strategies to optimize sales.
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met consistently.
Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, members, and community stakeholders.
Represent Cooperative values and support its community‑focused mission.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements High School required; completion of post‑secondary education in business or a related field considered an asset.
3‑6+ years of experience in a retail setting, 1+ year of leadership experience, ideally within the Co‑op Retailing System.
Demonstrated experience in inventory management, budgeting, merchandising, purchasing, and store presentation.
Experience ensuring compliance with Food Safety, OH&S, and HR policies.
Proven track record of delivering high‑quality customer service, resolving customer concerns, and maintaining strong vendor and community relationships.
Familiarity with maintenance planning, asset protection, and store inspections.
Experience with HR processes such as recruitment, performance reviews, corrective action, and employee development planning.
