Job Title: AZ Driver (Class 1)
Location: Kingston, ON
Shift/Hours: On-call / short-term assignments (minimum 4-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
We are seeking experienced AZ Drivers (Class 1) to support fleet maintenance operations for a valued client. This is a flexible, on-call opportunity ideal for drivers looking to supplement their income with short-term assignments.
In this role, you will be responsible for transporting commercial vehicles to and from maintenance facilities to support scheduled service programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all regulations and company policies
- Transport trucks and equipment between client locations and service facilities
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure timely movement of vehicles to support scheduled maintenance
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with client teams and service providers
Requirements
- Valid AZ (Class 1) driver's licence
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driver's abstract
- Criminal record check
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving safety standards
- Ability to accept short-notice, on-call assignments
Work Conditions
- On-call, ad hoc work based on client needs
- Minimum 4-hour pay guarantee per shift
- Local work within the Kingston area
- Work focused on equipment movement (no heavy delivery requirements)
