Electrical Technician

Working in a fast-paced industrial environment, the successful candidate will support the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment, both within our shop environment and at customer sites. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a skilled team.Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToTest, repair, and assemble electrical equipment and related components in accordance with specificationsRead and interpret electrical AC and DC schematicsPerform maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical equipment at customer sitesTroubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic toolsElectrical point to points, labeling on all associated wiring including wiring integrityRedline and mark up drawings as requiredBe familiar with industry specific codes and Standards (CEC, IEEE, NETA)Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor work environmentsCarry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assignedEnvironmental requirements will range from frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, bending and reachingFollow all safety policies and procedures and use PPE as requiredComplete required documentation and service reports accuratelyCompetency RequirementsCommunicates EffectivelyChange OrientationContinuous LearningCustomer FocusHolds Self and Others AccountableProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationValues and Respects OthersMaximizes Business Performance and Team EffectivenessEducation RequirementsLicensed Electrician, Registered Electrical Apprentice (Construction and/or Industrial), or Electrical TechnologistEquivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant electrical experience will be consideredWork Experience RequirementsMinimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a panel shop, control panel assembly, or industrial/commercial electrical environmentSkills, Abilities, And Other RequirementsAble to read electrical drawingsAbility to take initiative, work independently and proactively with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and qualityExcellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skillsOrganization and time managementAbility and willingness to travel within the Atlantic Region when requiredValid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver’s LicenseSecurity clearanceIf you are an existing Power Precision employee, please notify your supervisorof your interest and intent to apply before applying.
