At Nöord Technologies <\/b> , we empower top\-tier financial institutions with exceptional talent in banking and capital markets. We are currently seeking, on behalf of one of our clients, a Letter of Credit Specialist <\/b> to join their Trade Finance Operations team.
<\/p>

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and processing the Bank’s Letter of Credit portfolio, including the issuance, confirmation, and advising of Standby\/Guarantees and Import\/Export Letters of Credit. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the bank.

Key Responsibilities
<\/h3>

• Transaction Management: <\/b> Ensure that letter of credit transactions are in conformity with client instructions, UCP Publication 600\/ISP98, and the Bank’s credit\/compliance procedures.
  <\/p><\/li>
  
  

• Billing & Reconciliation: <\/b> Manage the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, processing payments, and resolving billing inquiries.
  <\/p><\/li>
  
  

• Technical Support: <\/b> Provide assistance and support to internal clients on technical aspects and practices of letters of credit.
  <\/p><\/li>
  
  

• Document Execution: <\/b> Prepare and execute required letter of credit documents using TI+, Microsoft Word, or ACBS as needed.
  <\/p><\/li>
  
  

• Financial Operations: <\/b> Effect timely disbursement of funds for LC drawings and ensure all items are actively traced and resolved via correspondence with global parties.
  <\/p><\/li>
  
  

• SWIFT Messaging: <\/b> Ensure proper SWIFT messages are sent for all LC and billing\-related transactions.

  Requirements <\/h3>

  Mandatory Technical Skills
  <\/h4>
  
  

  
  

  • Experience: <\/b> Minimum of 3+ years <\/b> of experience in SBLC, Commercial Letter of Credit, and\/or Guarantees in Trade Finance.
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Regulations: <\/b> Strong knowledge of UCP 600 \/ ISP 98 \/ URDG 758<\/b> and regulatory guidelines (sanctions, OFAC compliance, anti\-boycott).
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Systems: <\/b> Proficiency in SWIFT <\/b> .
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    

  • Work Authorization: <\/b> Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada <\/b> at the time of application.
    <\/p><\/li>
    
    <\/ul>

    Desirable Skills (Assets)
    <\/h4>
    
    

    
    

    • Knowledge of Syndications loans and\/or Syndicated LCs.
      <\/p><\/li>
      
      

    • Experience with TI+ (Trade Innovations)<\/b> or ACBS <\/b> systems.
      <\/p><\/li>
      
      

    • CDCS Certification <\/b> .

        Working Conditions

        • Schedule: <\/b> Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (40\-hour work week).

        • Calendar: <\/b> This position follows the USA Holiday Calendar <\/b> .

        • Work from Home: <\/b> Available on a voluntary basis for up to 2 days per week after a 3\-month integration period (subject to manager's discretion).
