Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Provide care and supervision for the children

·         Take responsibility of the household in the parents’ absence

·         Bathe, dress, change diapers and feed the client

·         Prepare client’s food/meal as requested and agreed by the parents

·         Discipline client according to the methods requested by the parents

·         Provide a caring, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment

·         Tend to emotional well-being of client and support social development

·         Provide age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings

·         Instruct the client in personal hygiene

·         Take the client to and from daycare and appointments

·         Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding client if requested

Requirements:

·         1 to 7 months of experience

·         Completion of secondary school

·         Must be reliable, honest, and able to care for children with kindness and patience

·         Demonstrate good judgement and organizational skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

Work Conditions:

·         Physically demanding

·         Repetitive tasks
