VCA Animal Referral & Emergency Centre in Calgary is hiring a residency-trained or board-certified Criticalist to join our Critical Care Department. Engage in intensive animal care and mentorship in this full-time role. You will lead essential critical inpatient care and manage emergency triage cases while supporting the growth of our department. Your responsibilities include teaching interns and overseeing the Emergency department. This role is ideal for someone committed to high standards, client service, and collaborative learning in a high-tech, 24-hour facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead critical inpatient and ER management
- Mentor the Emergency department and interns
- Teach and share knowledge with technicians
- Contribute to the Critical Care Department's advancement
- Maintain exemplary client interactions
- Valid DVM degree for practice in Canada
- Eligibility for board certification in Critical Care
- License in Alberta or ABVMA eligibility
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong clinical and diagnostic expertise
