Expected Start Date: November 02, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Medical Specialty Clinic (CDM) Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.48 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 18 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job : Reporting to a Manager in Primary Health Care, in the North Network, the Chronic Disease Management Diabetes Nurse Educator responsibilities include; coordinating education for clients living with diabetes, providing best practice in diabetes management as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing individual inpatient and outpatient education for clients, facilitating group classes in the outpatient setting, promoting self-management education and participating in departmental activities such as program development, planning, quality improvement and research. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- 5 years recent nursing experince
- 3 years clinical experience with patients/families with diabetes disease mgmt
- 1 yr experience in adult education/group facilitation
- Experience working with complex patients and families
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Current Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) is required
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
