The IP Marketing Team aims to generate unparalleled demand for stories by our leading creators, by leveraging the Wattpad community's power and data to cultivate and expand audiences and fandoms. We attract large audiences to our hookiest stories to create new models of success on Wattpad. Then, we engage and mobilize them to champion our creators as their stories get adapted into published books, films, TV series, or other engaging formats.

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and innovative Senior Manager, IP Marketing to further scale Wattpad's IP Marketing practice and create big hits. This high-impact role is crucial for fulfilling the company's mission of becoming the global hub for storytellers and readers, and it plays a key part in realizing Wattpad's ambitious IP leadership vision. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, you will be responsible for all story marketing initiatives—from strategy to execution—aimed at growing awareness, audience engagement, and revenue for our leading IP.

Please note this is a 14-month fixed term employment contract position.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and scale the IP Marketing practice, developing strategies, frameworks, and best practices—leveraging audience insights and market trends—to grow awareness and engagement for top IP and develop Big Hits.
• Oversee and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring the team is equipped for fostering growth across story lifecycle stages.
• Oversee full-lifecycle promotional frameworks for priority titles across key languages, while strategically allocating resources for maximum impact and ROI.
• Translate broader business and marketing strategy into IP marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring seamless execution and optimization to meet company and department goals. 
• Build internal rapport as a strategic partner and align IP marketing priorities across marketing functions, Content & Creators, Strategy & Business Operations, Studios, and the Global IP teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support IP adaptations across a range of formats—including Film, TV, Publishing, and Webcomics—amplifying the IP’s reach and generating value throughout the Wattpad and WEBTOON ecosystem.
• Oversee performance optimization across channels, identifying opportunities for maximum impact and efficiency.

What we're looking for:

• A seasoned marketing leader with 8+ years of experience running multi-channel campaigns driving audiences and engagement at scale.
• Proven ability to build and mentor a high-performing team, supporting individual growth and aligning team efforts with business goals.
• Strategic thinker translating vision and business objectives into actionable frameworks with measurable results.
• Collaborative partner adept at cross-functional alignment.
• User-obsessed and data-driven, leveraging analytics to optimize performance and maximize ROI.
• Clear communicator and effective project manager ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and goal attainment.

$90,000 - $110,000 a year

Wattpad is conducting all interviews in a distributed manner using applicable third party software where needed and using visual interface tools such as Google Meet and Zoom.
