Job  Title: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Custom Fabricator

Position Summary  

The HDPE Custom Fabricator is responsible for the manufacture and fabrication of Weholite Systems Solution (WSS) fittings in accordance with Infra Pipe's quality plans, drawings, and procedures. This role requires proper machine setup, close monitoring and control of production processes, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Manufacture and fabricate WSS fittings to customer and engineering specifications. 
• Set up and operate fabrication, welding, and field service equipment in accordance with established standards. 
• Control the fabrication process by ensuring adherence to quality requirements, including the use of measurement and inspection equipment. 
• Read and interpret drawings and lay out stages of the fabrication process (preferred). 
• Ensure proper handling, movement, and storage of materials and finished products throughout the fabrication process. 
• Safely and proficiently operate a forklift; place stock in designated holding locations in an organized and orderly manner. 
• Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues and recommend solutions to minimize downtime. 
• Participate in all Health & Safety training and actively promote a safe work environment. 
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and 5S activities at the job location. 
• Perform all work in accordance with Infra Pipe procedures, policies, and standards. 
• Support other departments at the Huntsville facility as required by plant management. 
• Work non-day shifts as required to support operational and customer needs. 

Qualifications & Experience  

• Previous fabrication experience or welder/fitter experience considered an asset (experience in steel manufacturing is acceptable). 
• Required experience using hand tools and fabrication equipment, including chainsaws, drill presses, and large band saws. 
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent. 
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Proven, stable work history. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment. 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. 
• Previous experience with LEAN manufacturing and 5S principles is an asset. 

Working Conditions  

• Manufacturing and fabrication environment. 
• Standing, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods. 
• Shift work may be required based on operational needs. 

Compensation & Incentives  

• Competitive wages commensurate with experience.

• Signing and retention bonus totaling $2,000: $1,000 payable after six (6) months of continuous employment and $1,000 payable after one (1) year of continuous employment.
