Are you a skilled technical leader ready to drive impactful digital services and modernization efforts? Our Edmonton client is seeking a Digital Data Architect for an initial 12-month contract with options for extension. In this role, you will lead the technical vision and solution design for modern digital services, collaborating closely with agile delivery teams to transform core data capabilities and improve end-user experiences.

Responsibilities
• Lead the overall solution architecture for digital services using agile principles
• Uncover current system contexts and provide technical recommendations and prototypes
• Guide cross-functional teams in rapid, iterative delivery aligned with target architectures

• Direct domain modeling and database schema design for transactional and reporting systems
• Apply data governance principles to maintain consistency, quality, and security compliance
• Identify opportunities to reuse shared digital capabilities across project streams
• Communicate architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear diagrams and documentation

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• At least eight years of experience working as a data architect, software architect, or senior data engineer
• Five years of experience leading cross-functional agile teams and solution architecture on enterprise projects
• Four years of experience directing domain modeling, database schema design, and secure development practices
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to influence decisions and guide technical teams
