We are seeking an experienced Installation Estimator to join a well-established and growing commercial HVAC organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong estimator who enjoys a combination of estimating, project coordination, client interaction, and site involvement.

This is not a desk-bound role. You'll spend time visiting job sites, meeting with clients, assessing project requirements, and working closely with installation teams to ensure projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced, and successfully executed.

What You'll Be Doing

Estimating & Tender Management

• Prepare accurate estimates and competitive bids for commercial HVAC installation projects.
• Review engineering specifications, drawings, and project documentation to develop complete project pricing.
• Conduct material take-offs and scope reviews for engineered systems.
• Manage tender submissions from initial opportunity through final proposal.
• Utilize established estimating tools and templates to efficiently price equipment replacement and retrofit projects.

Project Coordination & Site Engagement

• Conduct site visits and assessments throughout the Lower Mainland.
• Collaborate with Installation Managers and field technicians to determine project requirements, labour needs, timelines, and installation scope.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, specialized equipment, subcontractors, cranes, rigging, and other project resources.
• Support smooth project handoffs and contribute to operational efficiency improvements.

Client & Stakeholder Relationships

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers throughout the estimating and installation process.
• Build strong relationships with property managers, strata councils, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after project completion.
• Maintain clear communication regarding project status, timelines, and expectations.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of estimating experience within the commercial HVAC industry.
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation practices and mechanical systems.
• Proven experience preparing detailed estimates, performing take-offs, reviewing specifications, and managing tender submissions.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and construction documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Solutions-oriented mindset with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with estimating, project management, or service management software is an asset.
• Hydronics and plumbing experience is considered a strong asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Lower Mainland (company van provided).
