SALARY: $ 30.261 (Min.) - $31.198 (Max.)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Emergency Department is open 24 hrs/day 7 days per week. It is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team

of registered nurses, registered respiratory therapists, social services, pastoral care, crisis intervention,

orthopedic technicians and other members of our health care team

QUALIFICATIONS ?

Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent required ?

Medical Terminology Certificate required ? Experience in Emergency / Patient Registration/Bed Allocation is required or equivalent/preferred ? Keyboarding skills (60 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry Skills (6200 kph/95% accuracy)

required ?

Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required ?

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire) ? Ability to work in a fast paced high stress environment required ? Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focussed

care delivery and positive customer relations required ?

Knowledge of Expanse is preferred ? Good attendance and work record required ? Must demonstrate commitment to ensure the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and

visitors ?

Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization ?

Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
