Protrans Personnel Services is currently hiring an Administrative Clerk / Dispatch Coordinator for a leading transportation and logistics operation in Cambridge, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Clerk / Dispatch Coordinator, you will support daily transportation and logistics operations through a combination of administrative, dispatch, and customer service functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct driver check-ins and check-outs
- Coordinate dispatching and driver manifesting activities
- Enter pickup requests, appointments, and shipment details into company systems
- Scan, image, and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proofs of Delivery (PODs)
- Investigate and locate missing shipping documentation
- Respond to incoming phone calls and email inquiries
- Maintain accurate transportation and operational records
- Prepare daily administrative and operational reports
- Support courier operations and freight management activities
- Assist with OS&D (Over, Short and Damaged freight) processes
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and shipment tracking
- Cross-train in additional administrative and logistics support functions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in administration, dispatching, logistics, transportation, customer service, or data entry
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within transportation, freight, trucking, courier, or logistics environments
- Knowledge of Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), and dispatch systems
- Experience supporting shipping, receiving, or transportation operations
