Team Leader - Journeyman Carpenter (Montreal)

At SIROY , we are looking for an experienced journeyman carpenter who knows their trade inside and out and has a proven track record as a team leader .

Are you skilled with tools, comfortable reading blueprints, and able to keep a project moving forward while sharing your knowledge with others?

Your Role

You will be on-site with your team , directly involved in the work and responsible for its proper execution.

On a daily basis, you will be required to:

• organize and distribute the team's work;
• read and interpret construction plans and details;
• plan materials, tools, and next steps;
• ensure the quality and progress of the work;
• quickly identify problems and find solutions;
• communicate effectively with the superintendent;
• mentor and mentor apprentices and carpenters;
• actively participate in the work;
• maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized worksite.

The Objective : to move projects forward efficiently, without ever sacrificing quality.

The Ideal Candidate

We are primarily looking for a true tradesperson with leadership and hands-on experience .

You must:

• hold your journeyman carpenter-joiner card;
• have several years of experience in the trade;
• have experience as a team leader, foreman, or in a similar role ;
• master construction tools and methods;
• be very comfortable reading blueprints;
• be able to plan and anticipate next steps;
• be autonomous, organized, and capable of making decisions;
• be able to demonstrate best practices and share your knowledge experience.

Stimulating Projects

SIROY is a general contractor and primarily undertakes new construction and major renovations , from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant.

We work particularly on high-end homes and architectural projects that demand precision, expertise, and attention to detail.

Depending on the project, our teams work on:

• the building's structure and envelope;
• doors and windows;
• partitions and cladding;
• woodwork and interior finishing;
• various specialized carpentry services.

We regularly collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers.
