JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Kativik Regional Government (KRG), a supra municipal body with jurisdiction over the territory
located north of the 55th parallel, is now looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual
interested in joining the KRG to work in the capacity of:
LOCAL EMPLOYMENT OFFICER - AUPALUK
(PERMANENT, PART-TIME POSITION 25 HOURS WEEKLY)
Reporting to the Local Employment Officers’ (LEOs) Hudson Coordinator, the selected candidate
will be responsible for, among other things:
Provide various employment and training services to the population of Akulivik: Give support to
clients to identify their interests, skills employment, or training in order for them to access the
labor market;
Inform and provide to the clients about the different programs offered by Service Canada:
Employment Insurance, Social insurance number, Old Age Pension and Old age Security;
Maintain and update the clients file using the File Maker Pro program;
Inform the population about the Services and Employability in the region and community (FM,
groups, classes, etc.);
Perform other related duties, as required by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary V diploma, work experience in related field is considered an asset;
Minimum of three (3) years administration work experience;
Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages: Inuktitut,
English, and French;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Reliable and resourceful;
Skills in public speaking (FM, groups, classes, etc.), is an asset.
Place of work: Aupaluk
Salary: Min: $28,431/year, Max: $46,085/year (Class 5). Based on 1300 hours/year.
Benefits: Cost of living differential: Min: $13 599/year. Based on 1300 hours/year;
Food allowance: Min: $3,053/year. Based on 1300 hours/year;
Annual leave trips: Max: Three (3) per person/year;

AGENT LOCAL D’EMPLOI - AUPALUK

( Poste permanent à temps plein )



Relevant du coordonnateur des agents locaux d’emploi pour la côte de l’Ungava, le candidat sélectionné devra notamment s’acquitter des tâches suivantes :

• Fournir divers services d’emploi et de formation à la population de Aupaluk : offrir du soutien aux clients pour identifier leurs intérêts, leurs aptitudes d’emploi et fournir de la formation pour qu’ils accèdent au marché du travail;
• Informer les clients des différents programmes offerts par Service Canada : assurance-emploi, numéro d’assurance sociale, pension de vieillesse et sécurité de la vieillesse;
• Maintenir et actualiser les fichiers des clients en utilisant le programme File Maker Pro;
• Informer la population concernant les services et l’employabilité dans la région et la communauté (stations FM, groupes, classes, etc.);
• Exécuter toute autre tâche à la demande de son supérieur.

Exigences

• Détenir un diplôme d’études secondaires (une expérience de travail sera également prise en considération);
• Compter au moins trois années d’expérience dans un poste administratif;
• Être capable de s’exprimer tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit dans au moins deux des langues suivantes : inuktitut, anglais, français;
• Avoir une connaissance pratique de Microsoft Office;
• Être fiable et doté d’un esprit d’initiative;
• Des compétences en parole publique (stations FM, groupes, classes, etc.) sont un atout.

Lieu de travail : AUPALUK

Salaire : Minimum de 40 906$ et maximum de 66 292$ par année (classe E5),

Avantages : Indemnité de vie chère : minimum de 13 599$ par année.

Allocation alimentaire : minimum de 7 858 $ par année.

Allocation de voyages annuels : maximum de 3 par personne, par année;

Régime de retraite simplifié : employeur 6 %, employé 4 %.
