Position: Concierge Security Guard

Site:  Canada Life

Site Address: 255 Dufferin Ave, London, ON, N6A 4K1

Status: Full Time

Hours: Monday - Friday (8AM - 4PM)

Pay Rate: $22/hr

Posting Date:  June 2nd, 2026

Overtime Method: Employment Standards Act (ESA)

Assignments include: 

  • Greet tenants, visitors, and clients with a friendly and professional demeanor. 
  • Monitor building access and enforce security protocols. 
  • Respond calmly and effectively as a valued part of the security team to disturbances or emergencies. 
  • Provide accurate directions and information, especially related to building services. 
  • Answer phones, emails, manage the visitor database, and assist with room bookings or appointments. 
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages securely. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as badge sign out, parking inquiries, procedural inquiries, interfacing with Executive Assistants for events. 
  • Liaise with emergency services and contractors when needed. 
  • Uphold a polished appearance and positive attitude at all times. 
  • Maintain proper deportment and posture while seated at post. 
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy. 
  • Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned, to ensure personal, building and equipment security.  
  • Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel, as required. 
  • Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.
  • Communicates any concerns/issues with Site Manager.
  • Personal cell phone use while on duty is strictly prohibited.

Requirements: 

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License. 
  • Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate 
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first mindset. 
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). 
  • Previous experience in concierge, hospitality, or customer service roles preferred.
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada
