(TDMH) Plumber

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Plumber position.

The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital

The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until December 2026, or sooner as determined by RRHS

Position Summary:

To repair and maintain all hospital plumbing equipment as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 secondary diploma or equivalent that is acceptable to the hospital.
• Licenced as a Plumber by the Ontario College and Trades and Apprenticeship Act.
• Experience in plumbing. Experience in Hospital maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Collaborates with other team members.
• Is knowledgeable of the roles of other team members and recognizes their contributions

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all aspects of hospital plumbing.
• Perform all demand and preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Accomplish all work in a clean and professional manner while complying with all applicable standards, codes and regulations for hospital operation.
• Continually evaluate the equipment and processes used and recommend changes, which may affect an improvement of performance.
• Maintain equipment records.
• Clean work areas as per schedule.
• Participate in On Call/Call In rotation schedule and perform duties as required.
• Participate in the development and implementation of goals and objectives.
• Participate in the decision making process.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Complete and submit detail daily activity schedules.
• Ensures patient safety and infection prevention and control relating to the position

Other pertinent conditions :

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($37.69 per hour to $37.99 per hour)

Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts. Required to work on call/call in rotation . Hours are subject to change based on operation needs of the hospital.
