Join the Battlefield team as a Development Director and help shape the future of Battlefield.

As part of the Foundational Tech organization, the Franchise Tech team plays a critical role in supporting Battlefield development teams across regions—including Sweden, the UK, the US, and Canada. This cross‑functional, geographically distributed team is dedicated to developing core technology and providing game development services across the Battlefield franchise.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum of 6‑8 years of project management and team leadership experience, with 4+ years of management experience working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Solid comprehension of lean, agile, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and focused on stakeholder management.
  • Experience with distributed development across multiple locations.
  • Solid experience working with deep technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with different organizational levels, as well as the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong service‑oriented approach, ideally with experience in live operations or service operations teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer or a Technical Leader.
  • Experience with financial or business reporting.
  • Experience working with non‑technical teams in a technological environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational aspects of the team(s), including project planning, reporting, risk management, capacity planning, and efficiency processes.
  • Work with the team leadership to define the team strategy and lead the team in execution against milestones and key deliverables.
  • Work with partner DDs to identify and track dependencies, including financial, development, analytical, and creative teams.
  • Implement operational changes and processes to enable effective and motivated teams.
  • Solve problems, balance priorities, and find creative solutions to achieve results.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish project and team KPIs that track team performance.
  • Establish regular communication with the team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates.
  • Keep the team and partners’ teams informed on development results, schedule, and changes.
