Sales and Dispatch for Trucking Company

Job Responsibility:

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Sales associate and Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities, Generate new customer leads ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze data effectively while utilizing various transportation management systems.

Duties

• Coordinate and manage daily dispatch operations to ensure timely delivery of freight.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Analyze shipping data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor freight movements and address any delays or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations from shipping to receiving.
• —Generate new customer leads
• —Negotiate rates on Spot Markets
• —Work with the Sales Department to provide current industry knowledge

Requirements

• Experience in 3PL (Third Party Logistics) is a must.
• Proficient in using phone systems for effective communication.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within the supply chain industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making purposes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Previous experience with transportation management systems is mandatory.

Pay: $24.00-$32.02 per hour
