Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Worker to join our team at our Halifax Shopping Centre in Halifax, NS. If you have an ability to diagnose issues, identify solutions and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this exciting opportunity is perfect for you!

As a Maintenance Worker, your primary responsibility is to perform day to day maintenance and customer service duties required to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff and tenants by;

• Performing daily property inspections and promptly reporting repair needs
• Conducting minor property repairs and maintenance tasks including but not limited to dry walling, painting, landscaping, basic plumbing & electrical
• Ensuring property safety and respond to tenant concerns
• Maintaining property cleanliness and curb appeal
• Collaborating with contractors, providing excellent customer service, and assisting in coordinating work with stakeholders

Requirements:

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are customer service focused and have a can do attitude. If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, you likely have the following attributes:

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required, college diploma an asset
• 1 year experience in a similar field
• Knowledge of a trade or HVAC, etc. an asset
• Ability to operate power tools & equipment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic PC skills
• CPR and First Aid certification an asset

Compensation:

At Primaris, we believe in rewarding talent with competitive wages and total compensation package . Your compensation is thoughtfully determined based on factors such as location, job level, relevant education or training, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities , while ensuring internal equity and alignment with market data .

Expected Hourly Range: CAD $20.00 – $23.00
